Street Shine Mobile Detailing is based in Tulare and covers Visalia, about 12 miles north. Visalia is the biggest city in Tulare County and about 12 miles up the road from us, so it is the drive we make most. We detail at homes off the Mooney Boulevard corridor, in the neighborhoods either side of Highway 198, and at workplaces downtown. Because it is close, Visalia bookings are easy to fit around a same-week slot.
Most of our Visalia work is at houses rather than at a shop, so you keep your car in your own driveway the whole time. If you work downtown and would rather we came to the office lot, that works too, as long as there is somewhere to park it for a couple of hours.

Read moreVisalia is the biggest city in Tulare County and the one with real commuter miles on it. Highway 198 runs east to west straight through, and it is also the road people take up to Sequoia on the weekend. Cars come back from that run with bug splatter baked onto the front bumper and mirrors, plus a grey film off the foothill roads. Bug protein is acidic and it etches into clear coat if it sits through a hot week, so it is one of the few things genuinely worth not putting off.
Closer to home, the Mooney Boulevard corridor means a lot of stop-start retail driving, which puts brake dust on the front wheels faster than anywhere else we work. Iron particles from the pads embed into the paint on the lower panels too, and they show up as tiny orange specks once you know to look for them. That is a decontamination job, not a wash job.
Valley hard water is the other Visalia regular. Sprinkler overspray on a driveway, or a car left to dry in the sun, leaves mineral spots that sit on the surface at first and then slowly etch in. Caught early they polish straight out. Left through a summer, they need correction.
Visalia is about 12 miles north of us and roughly a 20 minute drive, straight up Highway 99 and into town. It is the run we make most often, which is why Visalia jobs are usually the easiest to fit into the same week you ask.
Most of our Visalia work happens at houses, so the car never leaves your driveway. If you work downtown and would rather we came to the office lot, that works as long as there is a space we can hold for a couple of hours. We bring our own water and power, so nothing is needed on your end. Ceramic coating is the exception, that one needs a covered space and we arrange it with you.
